A Pinata is a brightly-colored paper and cardboard container, originating from Mexico, and can be filled with any combination of sweets and toys.
It is generally suspended from a tree branch or ceiling and a succession of stick-wielding, blindfolded children try to break the Pinata, or pull the strings to release the sweets and toys inside of it.
Pinatas have been used during celebrations such as birthdays, christmas and easter for hundreds of years.
